    FOOD AND BEVERAGE SERVICE

 

COURSE CONTENT:       This one-day  course   has been  developed  specifically  for  food and beverage service providers in the Hospitality Industry. Every customer has a right to first class service no matter the style or standard of establishment involved. This course seeks to develop your current technical, social and personal skills, whatever your level, thus enabling you to contribute real value to the meal experience of your customers.

                        This course is participation based and will involve a series of practical workshops which will highlight both basic and more complex, key skill requirements, from setting tables to silver service. 

                         With food and beverage service providers being responsible not only for serving food and drink, but also in playing an important role as a salesperson, this course will focus on the skills involved in upselling.

FRAMEWORK:                ONE SESSION:  

·        The Role, Attributes and Conduct of the Professional Waiter

·        Presentation/Hygiene/Safety    Basic   Guidelines

·        Food  and  Beverage  Service  Practical  Workshop – Preparation of   Table, Food/Wine  Stations  and  Service Techniques    Advanced   Order   Taking    and   Cutlery Adjustment,  Plate  Carrying   and  Clearing  Techniques, Glass  Carrying  Techniques,  Tray Service  of  Drinks and Wine  Service  and  Silver  Service  Skills  (optional)

·        Dealing with Complaints and Incidents

·        Product Knowledge, Selling Skills/Upselling          Techniques

·        Food  and  Beverage  Service    Complete  ‘Order  of   Service’/Customer Meal Experience

·        Team Work Exercise

 

COURSE FEES:                £300.00 (in-house).   Cost   includes  course                         development and delivery, supplementary support                        materials. 

COURSESTYLE:               Interactive, semi – formal sessions. Suitable  for                         experienced or non  -  experienced  food   and                     beverage    service     providers. Minimum attendees 6.                    Maximum attendees 18.
